ANIMAL CROSSING POCKET CAMP Is Fine For Newbies Says Chrissy Teigen

Nintendo’s newest mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has been in the headlines in the past few days since its early release last week. A lot of players are just discovering every good and bad point of the game and model Chrissy Teigen shares her insights on Pocket Camp.

In a series of tweets, Teigen gave an unofficial review of the game by saying that Pocket Camp may work for Animal Crossing “newbies” but definitely not for “Tom Nook loyalists” like herself.

“Pocket animal crossing might be okay for you AC newbies but for us tom nook loyalists it is merely a hit of the crack, that is actual, real, animal crossing,” Teigen said. “It lacks the heart. The soul. It’s a sandwich with no meat. A car without tires.”

Teigen continued by expressing her disapproval of how Pocket Camp would require the player to complete certain tasks before the animals will agree to come over and visit. She called the game’s characters the “animal people things who are not friendly.” “They are not our friends.” “They’re jerks,” Teigen is referring to an incident where an animal made certain couch demands before visiting her.

“I’m actually getting angrier about this as I type it. What kind of crap is this teaching us? I need a hammock to have friends? Fruits will grow faster if I throw money at it? I’m deleting this,” Teigen said.

Lastly, Teigen also noted that she spent $120 on the game’s micro transactions, by purchasing in-game currency called Leaf Tickets.

Since its launch last November 22, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has been getting a lot of attention from the press and gamers alike. A few days ago, the game was plagued with server problems that irritated a lot of players who are unable to load the game.

Now, bad reviews from celebrities like Teigen may not be the response Nintendo would want from high profile people with a huge following they can infulence. Hopefully, Nintendo would take another look at the game, and maybe focus on features that fans of Animal Crossing really care about.
