Check Out Capcom's Spotlight On New Details For Many Upcoming Titles
Yesterday, Capcom held a spotlight showcase that brought up many new details on various titles they have coming up soon. Below is a quick list of the games they covered and the updates that were announced for each of the titles.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
With the release of Resident Evil 4’s Remake coming up at the end of March, they have released a free demo, entitled the ‘Chainsaw Demo,’ that is available now. There are no limits to how many times players can experience this new reimagining of Leon’s first steps into the mysterious European village. Resident Evil 4 launches on March 24th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Exoprimal
The release date for the next team-based dinosaur swarm-fighting shooter title Exoprimal was announced. Capcom Spotlight also introduced new Exosuits, dinosaurs, and the upcoming Open Beta Test, meaning players can get their own first impression of the game before the game launches.
Krieger and Nimbus are the latest Exosuits to join the action. Each model has unique powers to assist their allies on the battlefield. Krieger has a heavy arsenal geared to stop enemies in their tracks. Meanwhile, Nimbus is a highly mobile Support-type Exosuit.
The Open Beta Test (OBT) takes place next week with the wargames running from Thursday, March 16 at 17:00 PDT to Sunday, March 19 at 16:59 PDT on all platforms. Pre-orders for Exoprimal begin today and include three Exosuit skins as a special bonus. Alongside the Standard Edition (MSRP $59.99), a “Deluxe Edition” is available (MSRP $69.99), which includes the “Head Start Kit” plus “Survival Pass Season 1: Premium Tier” as a limited-time bonus.
Exoprimal is set to launch on July 14th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available Day One on Xbox Game Pass. Cross-play will be active as early as the OBT.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
The Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective remaster got a release date and opened pre-orders. Originally released on the Nintendo DS, players can once again take part in Sissel’s thrilling adventure as he navigates the world as a spirit stuck on Earth. Plus, players can enjoy fresh features that bring Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective back to life, including tons of never-before-seen illustrations, newly arranged versions of all 37 tracks from the original game, and one brand new song from the Ace Attorney composer Masakazu Sugimori to celebrate the release.
Special pre-orders bonuses are available now for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This bonus content grants detectives four changeable side banner backgrounds which include images of Missile, Sissel, Lynne, Kamila, Black Cat, and Ray. The two additional background music tracks “Missile ~ A Courageous Little Animal” and “Chicken Paradise” are also available alongside pre-orders. The previously mentioned bonus content is available for PlayStation 4 for a limited time at the game launch!
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Remastered is set to launch on June 30th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Following the successful launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak now has a release date for PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Following the valiant defense of Kamura against the calamitous forces of the Rampage, a new kingdom from across the sea calls for aid. Travel with the gallant knight Dame Fiorayne to the port of Elgado Outpost, where they will assist a new cast of allies in determining the source of abnormal monster activity.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on April 28th. It is currently available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.
Street Fighter 6
The eighth and final in-game commentator for Street Fighter 6’s all-new real-time commentary feature has been revealed. This slot has been filled by popular Japanese actress Hikaru Takahashi. This brings the full roster to include, the four expert play-by-play commentators include Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Ryutaro “Aru” Noda, Kosuke Hiraiwa, and Steve “TastySteve” Scott, with a tag team of four Color Commentators including Hikaru Takahashi, Thea Trinidad, H.E. Demon Kakka, and James “jchensor” Chen. Subtitles for real-time commentary are also available in 13 languages.
Street Fighter 6 is set to launch on June 2, 2023, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Be sure to check out the pre-order details if you plan to pick this one up for some Summer beat downs!
Capcom’s 40th Anniversary
Capcom celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and today’s festivities also included the unveiling of Capcom Town, a digital theme park that commemorates the historic milestone. Fans can look forward to exploring a digital museum and more when Capcom Town opens its doors on June 12th.
