E-Win 2.0 Edition RGB Gaming Desk Review: Sturdy, Stylish, And A Cut Above The Rest

Product Provided by E-Win Racing For Review

E-Win Racing has been making the rounds on the internet with some major splashes in the gaming community. Known for their sturdy and comfortable gaming chairs, E-Win isn’t stopping there. We have had the pleasure to spend extensive time testing out their E-Win 2.0 Edition RGB Gaming Desk to see if it deserves a rightful spot on your list of must-haves. Does E-Win succeed in delivering on gamers' needs? Well, let's just say there isn’t much need to look anywhere else. Let’s get into it.

What’s In The Box

This gaming desk was packaged with the utmost care and protection in mind. Full-shaped molded foam protected every piece of the desk, along with separate packaging for screws and tools for assembly. The desk is separated into four large pieces including two leg pieces, a stability bar, and the desk table top…that's it. The assembly could not be any easier and required no more than 15 minutes of my time. Less time building and more time gaming.

Aesthetics and Build Quality

The E-Win 2.0 Edition RGB Gaming Desk has “premium” oozing from every inch. The carbon fiber tabletop has a gun-black aesthetic and an eye-catching detailed design. This water and scratch-resistant material is a perfect complement to the desk, adding aesthetics with functionality. Accidentally spill your drink? The textured carbon fiber will stop the liquid in its tracks, keeping it in an isolated spot instead of running to the rest of the surface area for easy clean-up. A much-welcomed addition.

The tabletop also has RGB light strips on the left and right edges. These strips face outwards and add extra flare to any gaming setup. The RGB lighting is reactive to music, so if you play your favorite Spotify playlist, you will be flourished with a synched light show. The desk includes an aux cable and splitter that engages the lights. We are aware that some models now have a power button dedicated to the lighting and can control the hue, but this model just simply had an aux cable that functioned when connected.

The desk legs are some of the sturdiest I have ever seen and have a good weight to them. The desk can hold up to approximately 320 lbs and it shows. There are also RGB light strips running up the legs to complete the lighting effect. These lights are so incredibly bright that they can truly light up a small room. With the addition of height-adjustable table bases, this really feels like a complete package.

Specs and Special Features

  • Dimensions: 48in x 26.8in x 30in

  • Carbon Fiber tabletop material (scratch and spill resistant)

  • RGB lighting throughout both sides of the desk

  • Dynamic Music Level RGB lights

  • Headset rack

  • Cup Holder

  • Wired and Wireless Charging Pad w/ USB

  • Cable Management Grommets

The headset rack and cup holder accessories came as a welcomed surprise in terms of functionality. I knew the cup holder was going to be immediately useful in freeing up much-needed tabletop space. However, I was skeptical about the headset rack considering where it is placed under the desk. The concave hanger can be screwed into the bottom of the desk on either side, it is located close to where my legs comfortably sit. I was concerned that this would disturb my legs but thankfully they did not and they became incredibly useful. I use a wired headset and with the combination of the headset rack and the cable management system, it was a seamless experience.

Not to mention, I did not realize how much I needed the addition of the wired and wireless charging pad. It is a great feature to have a built-in spot specifically for your phone and not have to worry about making precious tabletop space for your charging needs. Even if you use a USB cable for charging your phone, it's a great feature to have since it frees up more USB ports from your PC that can be dedicated to more important peripherals. I also enjoyed the fact that the USB port can be hidden by simply sliding the charging pad counterclockwise. Since this is the only open electronic built into the desk, it is nice to know you do not have to worry about accidental spills seeping into the port.

Functionality

Using this gaming desk daily for countless hours was an absolute delight. The desk measures 48 inches long and 26.8 inches wide, giving enough space to accommodate one monitor, PC rig, keyboard, gamepad, phone, and room for more. I would have to recommend going for the XL 55-inch tabletop if you have two monitors and you plan on placing your PC on top of the desk, otherwise you'll have a hard time getting everything to fit.

The quality of life features really expand the functionality of this desk. Finally, a cupholder that can hold my coffee mug comfortably! A headset hanging rack that frees up more desk real estate. A charging pad that is conveniently placed in the corner to avoid any gaming mishaps but is close enough to answer those important texts. Just about everything here impressively highlights style and delivers on functionality.

What It Could Have Done Better

The E-Win 2.0 Edition RGB Gaming Desk delivers. There is very little here that I would have liked to have seen improved, such as headset rack placement and the ability to control the RGB lighting system. Again, the lighting can now be controlled through a dedicated button layout found on some newer models, but it is worth mentioning here as it isn't present on all of them.

Also, it is worth mentioning that the desk was delivered with one missing screw and housing unit for the circuitry located under the desk. I am happy to report that E-Win was eager to send us new parts but unfortunately they did not have them in stock and instead offered to replace the entire desk. Although it would have been much more efficient to send the new parts, it is nice to see a company stick to its promise of quality and satisfaction.

Verdict

The quality you receive from E-Win really does shine here and proves that their dominating prominence doesn't stop with gaming chairs. The E-Win 2.0 Edition RGB Gaming Desk is a top contender in the market right now. It is going to be tough to find a desk with better quality, functionality, and style. E-Win sits with the kings on this one.
