FORTNITE Chapter 3 Is Officially Here

Fortnite’s third chapter has officially launched, bringing a whole slew of new and exciting changes to the game. Chapter 2 went out with a bang, flipping the entire island in an effort to stop the villainous Cube Queen from destroying reality. The unexpected, geological event revealed an entirely new island on the opposite side of the existing one, which is home to Chapter 3’s game map.

The new Chapter finds all the player characters, dubbed Loopers, washing up on the beaches of the new island in a bid to fight back against a group known as the Imagined Order and their attempts to police all of reality. Aiding players in this endeavor is a group known as the Seven, led by none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as The Foundation.

Chapter 3 Season 1 also updates Fortnite with new mechanics, including the ability to slide, swing from webs like Spider-Man, and build tents that allow players to heal and store items that will carry over between Battle Royale matches. Players who place highly in a round will also earn a new accolade called a Victory Crown that rewards a unique emote if players can claim victory while wearing one.

Chapter 3 Season 1 also boasts a brand-new Battle Pass filled with exciting rewards to unlock, including the arrival of a certain, web-headed wall-crawler named Spider-Man. This Marvel hero has also brought along his place of work, The Daily Bugle, as a special landmark on the new-and-improved game map.

And to make earning Spider-Man’s skin (and all other Battle Pass rewards) even easier, Fortnite will now reward Battle Pass experience for every one of its modes, including Save The World and Creative. Players of all kinds will now have the opportunity to earn experience in whatever way they want to play.

There’s a lot to unpack across an entirely new map, new characters and mechanics to engage with, and a new season pass brimming with rewards to unlock. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 has only just begun, and it will run from now until March 19th. It is available on all platforms where Fortnite is available, including Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and PC through the Epic Games Store.
