Here's The First Look On HYRULE WARRIORS: DEFINITIVE EDITION For The Switch

Last week, during the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini, the company has confirmed that they are re-releasing the classic Hyrule Warriors from the Wii U and 3DS to the Nintendo Switch. This re-release, which will be called Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will include all the DLCs from past games, all maps, characters, and quests. The Definitive Edition will also support a resolution of 1080p in TV mode, and a two-player split-screen support. To top it off, Nintendo will also include exclusive outfits from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Now, the game just revealed a new trailer courtesy of Koei Tecmo. Although the trailer is in Japanese, it clearly shows what we can expect from the upcoming re-release, an exciting combat gameplay on the Switch that will bring this classic title on the hybrid console, together with numerous additions.

The most important information showed in the trailer however, is a release date of March 22. During the Direct Mini, Nintendo only mentioned that the game will be released sometime in the Spring of 2018, but in this trailer, and as seen on a Hong Kong press release, it seems that the game will be released on March 22, at least in Asian territories. We’ll just have to wait from an official announcement from Nintendo regarding a global release date.

You can check out all the details from the Direct Mini here. However, Hyrule Warriors is not the only game that Nintendo plans to port to the Switch. Several classic games from previous consoles such as Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Dark Souls Remastered, and The World Ends with You are all confirmed for a re-release.
