New Trailer For Debut Title THE SIGNAL

Goose Byte is a new studio that cropped up two years ago. The fledgling studio has been hard at work crafting its debut title and is proud to reveal a brand-new trailer! The game is called The Signal and styles itself as an open-world survival craft game with an emphasis on creativity over violence. This is in hopes that the genre moves forward, past the days of hectic PvP-based survival games.

This is a passionate bunch of developers that want nothing more than to deliver a promising first impression. It’s great to see new studios take a stab at making it, but it’s also important to know any new studio’s planned experience for the player. CEO and founder of Goose Byte, Theodor Diea, has this to say:

“We’re really excited about the world we’re building for The Signal. We want to take players on a journey: as you step out onto this uncharted planet you are faced immediately with an environment that is as mysterious as it is beautiful. This planet is teeming with unknown flora and fauna across multiple, massive biomes. But not everything is as it seems. The planet is fully aware of your actions and, the longer you spend exploring, the more it starts interacting and messing with you.”

As Theodore said, the player will traverse a completely alive alien planet that reacts to every choice of the player. The gameplay is focused on two paths, taming, or coexisting with the environment. Either path is defined by scanning surroundings, utilizing resources from the planet itself, and ensuring the expedition can find peace in such a foreign world. There is also a mode that allows up to sixteen players to enjoy the mysterious planet.

The theme driving the game is humanity’s effect on the world. Theodor Diea adds:

“What if we could re-roll the choices we’ve made here on Earth? Are we, as humans, capable of learning from our past mistakes? The choice is left to you and how you decide to play The Signal.”

The game looks to be a project filled with heart and any title with a well-thought-out theme has a good chance of being a perfect first impression.

The Signal is currently in development for consoles and PC.
