One-Hit Fighting Game SCLASH Out Now For PC

A samurai-themed fighter Sclash just dropped onto PC, and there's a shiny new trailer to celebrate. Developed by Bevel Bakery, and published by Just For Games and Abiding Bridge, Sclash is a fighting game with a twist. A player can kill their opponent in one hit. Of course, the opponent can dispatch the player just as fast, so there lies the big challenge.

The brutal combat is set against handpainted sprites working seamlessly against stylized 3D backgrounds to resemble a moving artwork. There are sixteen different stages, a selection of five different characters, and dozens of different skins across the roster, making it easy to look distinct. This is all wrapped up in an epic story of war, death, and battles between the Clans and the Gods themselves. Quite a lot to contend with.

Along with the story come more painstakingly-illustrated cutscene images and character portraits to better show off the formidable designs of the masked swordsmen and swordswomen who populate the dark and war-torn lands inspired by feudal Japan.

Expect blood to be spilled, but for it to happen as elegantly as possible.

Sclash is available now for PC via Steam and GOG, with Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S expected later in the year.
