Practice Your Stand-Up Performance in COMEDY NIGHT Beta

Have you ever watched stand-up comedy on Comedy Central or Netflix or your favorite channel and believed you could be great up there? Maybe even better? Well, I never have. I'd rather watch than publicly try and get people to laugh. If you have, though, here is the best chance you may ever get.

Comedy Night is an upcoming Steam game that will allow you to stand on a virtual stage and tell jokes to a live audience. Yeah, that right: the people that will be watching and reacting to your jokes will be real people watching from their side of the screen. This means that they will not only have the chance to laugh at your hilarious jokes, but they can actually boo you off the stage too.

Now I guess that should be alright. No one really knows you, so if you do a bad stint, that's ok. Just sign up a new user name and pretend like it's your first time all over again. However you play it, this game will give you a chance to hone and improve your comedic skill set, preparing you for the real world out there.

Don't expect me to get involved with a game like this. People can be mean at the best of times, especially when not actually in front of you. Some really good comedy can be slapped down simply because they are being dicks. Or you beat them at an online league the previous night, so they hooked up some cronies to take you down.

Ok, I'm over exaggerating. What could be fun about watching others do stand-up comedy are when two are on stage facing off against each other. If you feel you are up for the challenge, you can visit the Steam page and sign up for their Beta test that is opening today.

Let us know if this is your jam and you will be signing up. We'd love to share your experience with fellow GameTyrant readers.
