Release Date For ALAN WAKE II Revealed With Gameplay Teaser

Collaborated teams that had a surprise that many fans have been waiting for made a big announcement during the latest PlayStation Showcase. Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games unveiled the release date for Alan Wake II with a gameplay teaser that revealed more lore than actual action.

Fans of the Alan Wake series were first revitalized over 7 years ago when Remedy filed for the game name’s trademark. Being a game that launched in 2010, fans likely thought it was always going to be a one-off game, but then they launched Alan Wake Remastered shortly after filing for the trademark again. Now, we have a release date for the long-awaited Alan Wake II and it is happening this year!

The trailer introduces Saga Anderson (played by Melanie Liburd), an accomplished FBI agent with a reputation for solving impossible cases, who arrives to investigate murders in the small town community of Bright Falls in the Pacific Northwest. Anderson’s case spirals into a nightmare when she discovers pages of a horror story that starts to come true and questions how it may be connected to missing writer Alan Wake, whose own dark story eerily mirrors her own.

Alan Wake II pushes players into a psychological horror story from the perspective of two playable characters. Saga Anderson risks her life to solve a deadly mystery of murders in the Pacific Northwest while Alan Wake attempts to rewrite his reality to escape the depths of the Dark Place, a nightmare version of New York City. Players anticipating experiencing a new adventure in this series can pre-order the game today. All pre-orders will get an Ornate Revolver Skin for Alan and a Survival Resources Pack for Saga. However, the deluxe edition will also include:

  • Expansion pass

  • Nordic shotgun skin for Saga

  • Parliament shotgun skin for Alan

  • Crimson windbreaker for Saga

  • Celebrity suit for Alan

  • Lantern charm for Saga

Alan Wake II is set to launch on October 17th for PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Are you ready to jump back into the action within the small town of Bright Falls and the Dark Place?
