Sony Has Shown Off The PS5 Controller The DualSense!

Sony has finally revealed one piece of the PS5 hardware puzzle! Say hello to the DualSense the new input option for a new generation of games. The DualSense builds off of the DualShock 4 design with more girth to the overall design. The familiar PlayStation layout remains intact with symmetrical thumbstick layout, D-pad, face buttons, and touchpad. The home button has gotten a nice redesign into the PlayStation logo and the light bar has been re-positioned into 2 bars along each side of the touchpad. One of the most striking visual upgrades comes from the new two-tone color scheme.

Features new to the DualSense include the inclusion of adaptive triggers on the L2 and R2 buttons to let you feel the games you are playing. An array of microphones have also been implemented to let players jump into a conversation with their friends regardless if they have a headset. The DualShock 4’s share button is also being re-imagined into a new create button that will change the way you share your favorite gaming moments. More info about the create button will be shared at a later date.

Honestly I think this might be the first time I have been excited for a PlayStation controller! The design looks fantastic with the color scheme and it looks more inline with the designs of the Switch Pro Controller and Xbox One controller. The move to USB-C should also please many hoping to move away from Micro USB. What do you all think about the new controller?
