Two Very Tasty Halloween Treats: Little Hope PC and Arizona Sunshine Oculus Quest 2

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope

The wizards at Supermassive Games have been spinning tales of horror, suspense, and a touch of good old fashioned thrills for several years now. With The Dark Pictures Anthology, they have created an episodic scarefest starting with the creepy seaborne adventure Man of Medan and now, with Little Hope. The name immediately sparks interest in what is Little Hope and is it a statement, a place, or just a thought? Well, the mind bending doesn’t end there…

With an absolute stellar intro that I won’t spoil, you’ll soon find out what Little Hope really means and the time-bending twists and turns that the people, the places, and history that surround you is extremely well realized. With some of the best graphics I’ve yet seen on PC, Little Hope is an absolute marvel to look at. Not only are effects, animations, and lighting absolutely top notch, Supermassive continues some of their best facial models and realistic textures in gaming today. The PC versions is especially delicious maxed out at 60 FPS with some incredible effects.

Not only are the graphics and effects stunning, the audio portion is near perfect. The music, the voice acting and especially the ambient sound is amazingly well done. This is better than some major motion pictures and the actors and sound design crew design the highest praise we can give.

In the end, the sometimes heart wrenching decisions you have to make, even more stressful when you have to do it for only a few seconds to decide, will define the fate of your entire party. I can’t even imagine all the possible outcomes from the decisions made would yield but my first playthrough was absolutely stunning that kept me creeped out and guessing even after the credits rolled. If you are looking for one PC game to wow yourself, friends, or family, Little Hope is an absolute horror gem for Halloween and beyond. Whether you play solo or much better with a friend, I highly recommend it, especially the PC version.

Arizona Sunshine

This VR gem has been around for several years on the standard VR platforms but now, it’s been enhanced for the Oculus Quest 2 and blasting zombie baddies has never been better on the go! Extremely impressive for a Quest title in both graphics, sound, and sheer number of gameplay options, this is one of the best games on Oculus, period. Single player, multiplayer and other options abound whether you want to run the campaign or just face endless hordes of the undead.

This is no easy task as it takes a moment to get used to the loading, reloading and movement attributes of VR but as soon as you do, get prepped because you will be tested. This is great game for Halloween especially with a group of friends or family. Mind you, there is gore and no way to toggle (please add?) for the little ones but it’s not overdone by any means. Want the top notch zombie experience on VR without all the setup and fuss? Arizona Sunshine for Oculus Quest 2 MORE than fits the bill!
