WINTERS' EXPANSION And Gold Edition For RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE Is Out Now

Whether you are looking to finally pick up Resident Evil Village or looking for a new experience in the series, Capcom has officially released both the Winters’ Expansion and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition! The Gold Edition of the game is a bundle including the base game, the Winters’ Expansion, the “Trauma Pack” digital add-on content, and the online multiplayer action game Resident Evil Re:Verse. Both the bundle and expansion are available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. For Nintendo Switch players, the Resident Evil Village Cloud edition is also available now.

As for the Winters’ Expansion, this brings the much requested “Third Person Mode,” which this new option enables players to experience the acclaimed main campaign, which was originally presented from a first-person perspective, from a whole new angle. It also includes “Shadows of Rose” which continues the Winters family saga, set 16 years after the main campaign. Now grown-up, Rose Winters delves into a realm of consciousness in search of a cure for her unwanted powers. Rose must face her fears in this warped and twisted world of nightmares, wielding her strange abilities to elude and overcome the monsters and other threats that seek to pull her into the darkness.

Lastly, the expansion adds “The Mercenaries Additional Orders.” Ethan Winters is joined by an ensemble cast in this action-packed bonus mode that now features legendary BSAA agent Chris Redfield, Lord Karl Heisenberg, and Countess Alcina Dimitrescu. Each character has their own array of attributes and abilities to help them carve their way through enemies in this enhanced mode that also includes new stages and fresh balance adjustments.

With the release of both the expansion and Gold Edition, they have also fully released Re:Verse for all players to enjoy on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, featuring cross-play. Free to all owners of Resident Evil Village, this online multiplayer game S.T.A.R.S. a roster of beloved Resident Evil heroes competing in four to six-player matches. When taken out, characters mutate into bioweapons with powerful attacks perfect for exacting revenge against their opponents. Additional survivors, creatures, stages, costumes, and challenge missions are planned for post-launch updates.
