XDefiant has just announced that they have began plans of sunsetting their game as ealry as today. Players who did any purchase in the few weeks will get a refund, and more actions will follow from the developer. Mark Rubin, the executive producer on the title has put out a lengthy tweet explaining the situation and circumstance.

On their official Twitter/X account, they also confirmed that the game will only operate until June 2025, with all future content plans now scrapped.

It is unfortunate that XDefiant took as long as it did to launch, and amid rumors of it floundering and potentially shutting down last month, were immediatelly put to stop by Mark Rubin.

The game had its fun while it lasted and unfortunately and we know that many players will miss this game.
