As we go into a new year, a common practice is to look back over how we did in 2021. So it is a given that developers like to do the same when it comes to their games, especially when they are multiplayer based. 1047 Games is one of the many developers doing this and they wanted to share the impressive numbers that Splitgate generated within 2021!
The image above and the trailer below will both show the numbers that they have pulled off in this past year. For a free-to-play game, this is quite impressive. More than 7 billion portals have been spawned and over 2 million kills have been made through them, the collective time of the players that played the game would equal over 6,000 years, over 163 billion meters has been traveled through portals (which is more than enough to travel from Earth to Mars three times!)… it’s insane when you put these stats together really!
1047 Games isn’t slowing down either as they plan to continue improving and growing Splitgate moving forward. They’ve already gone on a hiring spree which led to them bringing on leadership from EA, Tencent, Riot, 343 Studios, and more!
