A New HALO Game Is On The Way But Only for Arcades

Halo: Fireteam Raven is a cooperative arcade sci-fi shooting game from arcade legends Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix in a unique partnership and collaboration with 343 Industries.

A new Halo game has been announced but not for the PC or any of the consoles. Instead, the upcoming game will be released for arcade machines. Dubbed as Halo: Fireteam Raven, the new arcade co-op shooter is developed by arcade kings Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix together with 343 Industries. The game will take place in the Halo: Combat Evolved’s timeline, where the player takes the role of Fireteam Raven on Alpha Halo.

Halo: Fireteam Raven will be available on 130-inch arcade cabinet that sports a 4K screen and the will feature four real machine guns that players can use either to compete against one another or work together.

“Halo: Fireteam Raven is without a doubt, the most spectacular arcade experience we’ve ever made,” says Raw Thrills CEO Eugene Jarvis in a blog post. “After years of development, it is now ready. Experience the intensity and live the world of Fireteam Raven, You will never be the same!”

The arcade game will start to become available at Dave & Busters all over the US and Canada this summer, with a full-on release this fall. Of course, the new arcade game is cool and everything, but this is still not the Halo 6 that fans have been waiting for since the release of Halo 5 three years ago. Now that E3 is upon us in just a few weeks, maybe the Halo team will make an announcement on E3.
