A QUIET PLACE: THE ROAD AHEAD Has Potential, But Will It Live Up To It?

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a first-person, single-player horror adventure game inspired by Paramount Pictures’ critically acclaimed blockbuster film franchise. Players are transported into the chilling world of A Quiet Place, where they will experience an untold story of survival in a world overrun by deadly creatures that hunt by sound.

This game has a lot of potential, but that potential could also mean disaster. Since it builds on a successful movie franchise, comparisons to the films are inevitable. If the game doesn't accurately capture the essence of the movies, it will undoubtedly be a major talking point upon release.

In the realm of horror games, we've seen similar titles achieve great success. For instance, Alien: Isolation, one of the more renowned horror games, features an adaptive Xenomorph that relentlessly hunts the player. If A Quiet Place follows a similar approach, it could set itself up for success. However, making the aliens less frightening could ruin everything. Personally, I believe every sound you make in the game should create a pit in your stomach, immersing you in the tension of that universe. Additionally, I hope they implement a microphone feature, requiring you to stay quiet, or else face the consequences.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is available to wishlist now on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
