After a positive response to developer Drattzy Games’ demo for their upcoming indie JRPG adventure Alterium Shift, they and their publisher Gravity Games Arise have announced that the game will be coming to Early Access on Steam sometime soon.
The Early Access version of Alterium Shift will take players further into the world of Alteria. The updated demo, released in late 2022, left players stranded in the shift realm of the dark elves. The Early Access version picks up from there where it will cover half of the final game, adding a massive amount of adventure and lands for players to explore.
Alterium Shift’s Early Access version introduces four new explorable regions, each with its unique challenges and secrets. Players will face environmental challenges in the desert region, where they'll need to seek out new forms of transportation. Dungeons bring new puzzles, secrets, treasures to loot, and deadly bosses to face down. Additionally, a string of new towns and villages will appear, full of unique inhabitants to meet, and plenty of side quests and activities to discover.
Alterium Shift is an old-school JRPG that combines classic gameplay with modern 2.5D graphics, paying homage to the 90s retro JRPGs. Players will journey and explore the bonds between various main characters and how each of their unique stories affects the others. Alterium Shift promises that it will be a true adventure of a lifetime, but that exploration will be up to you.
Alterium Shift has a demo available currently on Steam and will have an Early Access version coming to Steam soon at a currently unspecified date. On release, Alterium Shift will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
