Despite some growing pains the Epic Games Store continues to march forward securing exclusive games and shaking up the distribution market on PC. One of my favorite parts of the Epic Games Store has been the growing list of free games that Epic has offered week after week. In the past few months many great games have become available for free, like Limbo! This week Players have access to Moonlighter and This War of Mine both good titles in their own right.
Next week however, one of the best games released last gen is getting the free treatment with Remedy’s Alan Wake! Alan Wake is an amazing narrative driven game and easily still one of the best Xbox 360 titles ever made. The game came to PC a few years after it’s original 360 launch and came with all of the improvements that brought with it, including a resolution boost. The game was actually delisted for a time due to licensing reasons but has been available again for almost a year. If for any reason you don’t own Alan Wake this is a great opportunity to get a great game for free!
The second free game Epic has on offer next week is Ubisoft’s For Honor! For Honor has come a long way since its initial rocky launch to become a solid fighting game. The medieval setting has always been a personal favorite of mine and the combat is intense. I have yet to pick this game up on PC so I am excited that I can make the transition!
