Microsoft has a number of new Xbox exclusives on the way, including the recently unveiled Redfall from Arkane Studios. The announcement trailer was shown at the end of the Microsoft and Bethesda showcase event at E3.
The new IP is an open-world co-op First Person Shooter centered around slaying vampires in the small island town of Redfall, Massachusetts. The deadly vampires have blocked out the sun and cut off the island from the outside world! Your job, as a survivor, is to team up with others to slay and survive! Blending single-player and multiplayer, you can team up with friends or go alone!
During your hunt and play for survival, you’ll encounter an undead force that was created from a scientific experiment. Likewise, you’ll also have to defeat human cultists who worship the nasty bloodsuckers! It sounds like a fresh take on fighting undead forces. Instead of double-tapping zombies, you will be using a combination of special abilities and weaponry to eradicate the vampire incursion.
Arkane Studios’ team has an impressive slate of games under their belt, including Prey and Dishonored. It’s safe to say this talented group just might be working on the next big multiplayer hit for the Xbox/PC ecosystem. We can’t wait to get our hands on this one and try it out!
