Brought to you by Hitcents and Ministry of Broadcast (MoB) Studios, Ministry of Broadcast is a cinematic platformer based in a dystopian universe where a country has been divided by “The Wall”. Seemingly put up overnight, “The Wall” divides a man and his family. In order to be reunited with his family, he is forced to become a contestant on “The Wall Show”, a Regime-organized TV show where contestants attempt to escape to freedom on the other side. As the player drags the protagonist through the variety of hazardous obstacles that “The Wall Show” has to offer, they must keep in mind that the promise of freedom is not exactly what it seems.
The game is developed by Ministry of Broadcast Studios, a development team split between the Czech Republic and Serbia. Taking inspiration from their own lives in Eastern Europe and some of the absurd things that they’ve seen and experienced, the group created a game offering a satirical standpoint of prevalent social and political issues: privacy, fake news, consumerism, etc.
Ministry of Broadcast will be released January 30, 2020 on Steam (10% discount during launch week) and the Utomik subscription platform, with a following digital and retail release on the Nintendo Switch in the Spring. Will you be picking Ministry of Broadcast at launch? Let us know in the comments!
