Reaching a new world record score for the amount of money raised during a single Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) event, the week-long 2022 Online event closes raising a total of more than $3.4 million! On top of this, they reached the first $1 million mark faster than any Games Done Quick event before it. This AGDQ events donations are designated towards the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
If you weren’t aware, AGDQ 2022 Online took place from January 9-16. As Games Done Quick's first event of 2022, it continues the organization's pledge to safely continue fundraising during the COVID-19 pandemic with online-only events. All the while, AGDQ 2022 maintained the same kind of excitement and community spirit that viewers have come to expect from the speedrunning event.
On top of this amazing new donation number reached, they also had a few new world records that were broken during the event. The new records and their runs include:
