Borderlands 3 is officially coming to Steam! At the top of their show at PAX East, Gearbox revealed that the critically acclaimed title would be arriving on the PC platform on March 13th. It was also revealed that crossplay between Steam and the Epic Games Store would be possible thanks to the new SHiFT matchmaking functionality, so all of you Steam sticklers can cause some mayhem with your friends that may have already bought the game when it released back in September 2019.
You can view the announcement trailer above.
During the show, Gearbox also unveiled their roadmap of more events, updates, and other content coming to Borderlands 3 this spring, on top of the Guns, Love, and Tentacles expansion, where players will assist Wainwright and Hammerlock prepare for their special day, as they battle a band of occultists.
The trailer for Guns, Love, and Tentacles can be viewed down below.
To kick things off in April, Borderlands 3 will be receiving Mayhem Mode 2.0, and the Revenge of the Cartels seasonal event. Mayhem Mode 2.0 will introduce some new modifiers, and allow players to change their Mayhem level through the ECHO device rather than needing to return to Sanctuary III.
In Revenge of the Cartels, players will need to protect Maurice, as he has caused some trouble with a few space-faring gangs. Players will be required to eliminate key operatives stationed around the galaxy, so Maurice can open portals to hideouts where the Cartel has set up shop. Enemies behind each portal will vary depending on which division of the Cartel you're up against.
Borderlands 3 comes to Steam on March 13th, with the Guns, Love, and Tentacles expansion following soon after on all platforms March 26th, as well as much more content on the way this Spring.
