Developer Soaring Pixels showed the changing world of their island survival adventure game Breakwaters in a new trailer. Breakwaters was announced via kick-starter earlier this year and was completely funded within 3.5 hours. Since then, the development team has been hard at work preparing the game for early access. Information on the early access release date is forthcoming.
Key features:
Build boats from blueprints found around the Breakwaters game world. Each boat will have different functions and features so choose wisely!
Boats can have different contraptions that can be attached. For example, a cannon can be used for self-defense while a crane can help you lift sunken treasure.
Assemble a pump and piping system to raise or lower the water levels in certain parts of the map. This will help you gain resources and items that were previously inaccessible.
Build your living structure on a floating dock.
Grow and farm vegetables while also making your garden unique and beautiful.
Breakwaters is designed for three different player types: Adventurers, Homesteaders, and Explorers. If you want to take on the main enemy titans of the ocean, become an adventurer. If you want to have a chill serene experience, become a homesteader. The choice is yours! We expect early access to start sometime in October based on their Steam page so give Breakwaters a try then!
