As publisher Warner Bros Games and developer NetherRealm Studios gear up for the release of Mortal Kombat 1 it’s time for the pre-order beta weekend. With just a few weeks remaining before the full release it’s time to get the final play-tests in to make sure that everything is running smooth. The beta will run from August 18, at 8 a.m. PDT/11 a.m. EDT until August 21, at the same time.
During the pre-order beta players will have access to six playable characters: Liu Kang, Kenshi, Kitana, Li Mei, Sub Zero, and Johnny Cage. Additionally players will have access to four Kameo Fighters: Jax, Frost, Kano, and Sonya Blade.
The beta will include 1v1 online multiplayer matches and a limited single-player Klassic tower to test your might against AI opponents.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on September 19th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
