While many can agree that the game industry has been a series of hit-or-miss titles when it comes to creating games from our favorite anime’s, there is always at least one or two titles that definitely catch our attention. Once we find a game we enjoy from our series, all we want is more DLC’s and similar games for the series that it follows. Luckily, one of the leading names in the anime game development industry, Bandai Namco, has nailed this formula down and even held a live stream event called Play Anime Live to share all the upcoming news from their various titles. This full event has been shared above, but let’s go over some of the news they provided in that 40-minute long stream.
Scarlet Nexus
While we weren’t given any new videos or screenshots for this upcoming, next-gen game, the producer, Keita Iizuka, answered fan questions about this game. If you haven’t heard of Scarlet Nexus yet, I recommend checking out the announcement for this game as it introduces us to a new Brain Punk world.
Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker
Revealing to include one of our favorite skilled ninja’s, Kakashi, we were presented with the trailer for the Season Pass 3 DLC for Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker. This popular title from the Naruto series has a consistent fan base, so it is no wonder that we are given more characters and content for this game.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions
Fans of this soccer-based anime got a new glimpse into what this upcoming game will hold as they shared a trailer featuring the online mode’s and included a deep dive into the multiplayer experience. While it may not be available yet, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is set to release on Aug. 28 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
My Hero One’s Justice 2
Then we have the upcoming DLC for My Hero One’s Justice 2 which features a new character, Mei Hatsume. Known as the smart and assertive gadget nerd of the show, we even got to see her Zoom quirk in action. She is certainly going to be an interesting character to use.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4
Showing off the first DLC pack for the latest entry into the One Piece: Pirate Warriors game series, we get to see Smoothie, Cracker, and Judge in action. This "Whole Cake Island” DLC pack is sure not to be the last update to the game, but it is the first to be featured.
Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare
In celebration of its first anniversary, Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare showed revealed is 2.0 version which will include new content, game features and free daily 10x pulls for up to 200 pulls. To reveal this news, they released a trailer that is a mixture of live-action and CGI footage.
