With high anticipations, many are waiting for The Dark Pictures Anthologies next game, Little Hope, to release later this month. Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have been doing a great job with hyping up this game release, but honestly, I was already hyped for it when I found the second game easter egg in Man of Medan. As the release date of October 30th gets near, we have been getting interviews, and behind-the-scenes looks at this game creation process.

Back with another look behind-the-scenes, Bandai Namco has released a two-part dev diary on how the motion capture was done for Little Hope. The motion capture has been used to bring a cinematic look and feel while adding depth to the story. Check out this exclusive look inside Pinewood Studios, studio home of the James Bond films, and see how some of the scenes were shot and created.

It really is a fascinating technological and artistic process of how the movements of actors are digitally recorded with pinpoint accuracy to create the in-game scenes. I love that a lot of AAA game developers are using motion capture these days and it’s always interested to get a closer look at the process. It won’t be long before we are all making the choices that lead to the various scenes these actors had to play out and convey authentic emotions without detailed physical sets. Are you ready to control the fate of another group unlucky enough to end up in a horror game?
