During Nintendo’s E3 showcase this year, the developer just released an announcement trailer for a proper Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch. Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be a full game unlike the spinoff Fire Emblem: Warriors, which was released on the Switch last year.
The preview showed that Three Houses will retain the franchise’s core mechanics with its top-down strategic gameplay the franchise is famous for. Three Houses will serve as the first game in the main series to be released on a Nintendo home console since the release of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the Wii back in 2007.
Initially, Nintendo plans to have the Switch Fire Emblem title available this year. However, the game will be moved further as scheduled as Fire Emblem: Three Kingdoms will be released sometime in Spring of 2019.
