Gamer Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to game on the go, with their subscription starting next month! Xbox has announced that its monthly subscription service for Xbox One and PC will include access to cloud gaming for mobile platforms on September 15th! This is a great move for Xbox as the game service was already hard to pass up on, given the titles you get and the platforms available. There hasn't been any information released as to what the library of games will include through the cloud as of yet though, so there still is some mystery.
I’ve been playing the beta for their cloud gaming project for a few months now, and have had great experiences with it. Project xCloud has been its working title and has allowed Xbox to let people test it out for them ahead of its launch. I’d have to say that the app is very clean and works seamlessly to bring the games straight to your phone. It would be amazing to be able to play the next big Xbox release from anywhere in my house, on my own time.
When it comes to playing the games, you can use your Xbox One controller by pairing it with your phone. This only works for the Xbox controllers that support Bluetooth though, so be sure to check your controller specs before getting too hyped up. Along with the news, they showcased some of the other peripherals you can pre-order or purchase ahead of time if the controller isn’t your preferred method. I personally went with the PowerA MOGA Mobile Gaming Clip for my Xbox controller and see it as a win. I didn't have to shell out more than $15 to get access to my mobile and cloud-based games.
