If you have ever wanted the general set of the Dead Space games in a procedurally generated co-op action game style, then 3D Realms is publishing the next game for you! Developed by Pet Project Games, RIPOUT is the upcoming co-op sci-fi horror first-person shooter that should be on your radar. This game will take you to an action-packed fight for survival beyond Earth.
After genetically engineering a powerful bioweapon to save itself from alien invaders, humanity falls victim to its own creation. You awaken in the year 2084 as one of Earth’s last surviving soldiers. Alone amongst the mutated monstrosities of mankind, will you safeguard our legacy… or will our species be forever consumed by the void?
While this game does offer some of the expected features, such as intense co-op action, monstrous hordes, and unique runs thanks to the procedurally generated maps, there are some unique aspects as well. For instance, your weapon is also a living being that can transform and evolve in battle. This will let you blast your foes or take them apart piece by piece as you see fit.
Being developed in Unreal Engine, RIPOUT is planned to release sometime later this year on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, check out the trailer and prepare your trigger fingers because this one looks like things will get messy!
