Doctor Who Comes To EVE ONLINE In Epic New Crossover!

Kicking off 2022 in a pretty wicked way, CCP Games and BBC Studios have announced that Doctor Who would be joining EVE Online for its first major IP collaboration in the game’s history! This insane new crossover begins on January 13th and will allow players to warp into New Eden and take part in its special events through February 1st.

Capsuleers and Whovians alike will be able to team up to take down Daleks together in massive space battles unlike anything players have experienced in the game so far. And don’t forget, if you’re new; no need to worry about shelling out money for the game as it’s free-to-play.

“2022 will be off to an (inter)stellar start with EVE Online x Doctor Who,” said Bergur Finnbogason, EVE Online’s Creative Director. “We are always pushing the boundaries of what is possible in EVE Online. Collaborating with BBC Studios gives us the opportunity to pay homage to an iconic series that has inspired us at CCP. We hope you’ll join us in New Eden on January 13 to see what happens when galaxies collide!”.

The crossover also introduces a new Gallifrey-themed space that will beckon players to search for artifacts from Doctor Who’s Great Time War. Each of these scattered artifacts will give provide clues for players as they hunt and locate the Daleks and engage them in some pretty incredible galactic battles. This is something you won’t want to miss out on.

Succeeding in battle will grant players some pretty exciting prizes as well if they can weather the battles. Additionally, there’s a new login campaign with skill points and Doctor Who-themed items which be available for all players throughout the event’s duration.

Seeing such an exciting event take place in EVE Online is enough for someone like me, who hasn’t played the game before to jump in and test the waters.
