More and more studios and console developers are breaking away from the E3 cage and building their own conferences. With Sony hosting their PlayStation Experience and Nintendo hosting their Nintendo Direct, EA Games wants to give a company specific conference a try too. EA Play 2016 is a simultaneous event that will take place in Los Angeles and London on June 12th through the 14th. The whole event will also be livestreamed on the EA Games website.
This means EA Games will have no substantial presence at E3 2016. As more and more companies launch their own events, it seems the popular trade show will begin to lose quite a bit of its luster. If you want to keep posted on when tickets go on sale and more info about the event, you can sign up for their mailing list. I'm going to keep my ear to the ground on this event, as many of my favorite games at last year's E3 were from the EA booth.
