FORTNITE Teases A Massive, End-Of-Season Event Dubbed ‘Collision’

In true Fortnite fashion, the latest season of Epic Games’ battle royale will come to an end next week with “Collision:” a unique, one-time-only event that will decide the fate of the Zero Point once and for all. This exclusive moment in Fortnite history will only be available on June 4th at 4 PM ET, though players will be able to jump into the limited-time mode 30 minutes early. To commemorate the event, any players who log in to Fortnite after 8 AM ET on June 4th will receive an exclusive Loading Screen and Lobby Track.

There are few details about Collision itself, but promotional materials for the event suggest it will involve large mech suits that players can presumably pilot. There’s even a Mecha Weapons Team Outfit series that will appear in the in-game Item Shop for players to purchase ahead of the event.

Collision will round out the current seasonal content for Fortnite that revolved around a resistance movement against the nefarious Imagined Order. This season included more pop-culture crossovers like Wu-Tang Klan and Star Wars, and it also introduced the popular No Build Mode, which removed the title’s iconic building system and replaced it with sprinting, mantling, and a rechargeable overshield.

Fortnite’s latest exclusive event, Collision, will kick off on June 4th at 4 PM ET. Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), Nintendo Switch, Android, Nvidia GeForce NOW, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
