Free DLC To Hideous Alchemy Sim MY LOVELY DAUGHTER Shares The Horror

Art of the alchemist character stood in front of a transfiguration circle, a homunculus son stood inside.

Gamechanger Studio, Toge Productions, and Neon Doctrine have announced a new, free DLC pack for their game, My Lovely Daughter, that will expand on the game’s core mechanics. The Sacrificial Sons DLC adds male homunculi to the game’s menagerie of conjurable creatures; previously, Faust was only expected to raise and slay daughter constructs to advance his alchemical studies.

The brief trailer doesn’t reveal much about how these new homunculi will affect gameplay, but a few of the new creations can be seen in the background toward the end of the teaser. The sons can be created, raised, and sacrificed just like their female equivalents, and, upon death, will reward souls useful for reviving Faust’s daughter.

Some games are taxing on reflexes, patience, or skill. In My Lovely Daughter, players take on the role of the aptly named alchemist, Faust, who awakens with nearly no memory and a dead girl in his house whom he’s certain is his child. Being a man of some kind of science, (by medieval standards at least) he takes it upon himself to bring her back by any means necessary. In order to bring back the dead, he must create alchemical constructs that consider him a father and then dispatch them to harvest their life energy. Grim stuff.

My Lovely Daughter and the Sacrificial Sons DLC are now available on PC platforms such as Steam and Itch.io, and Nintendo Switch via the eShop.
