Future OVERWATCH Maps and Heroes Will Be Totally Free

There has been a fair deal of worry about Overwatch following the dreaded MOBA approach to character releases. While games like League of Legends and DOTA allow you to play for free and unlock champions with either in-game points or micro-transactions, Overwatch is a new genre all in its own with a full $60 price tag attached to it. Well not to fret my fellow Blizzard fans, because the developers have got your back. Future releases of new heroes and maps will be patched into the game 100% free of charge. Good move on Blizzard's part. As if their game wasn't already going to break the market when it came out, this announcement helped to cement that fact!

Overwatch is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 21st.

Game director Jeff Kaplan discusses some popular community topics including current plans for additional heroes and maps post-launch, updates regarding an in-game killfeed and scoreboard, and other minor changes coming as a result of player feedback.
