Doinksoft announced their newest title Gunbrella during the Nintendo Direct Indie World Showcase, asking the age-old question, “what happens when you combine a gun and an umbrella?”. With an interesting yet short trailer, we can see that the upgrade is a bit better than your regular umbrella.
Published by Devolver Digital, Gunbrella will tell a revenge story in a gritty neo-noir world where the planet’s natural resources are running out. In action 2D side-scroller style, players will travel between unique areas, from a cult-like town to a trash castle, as they meet and assist a crew of characters while collecting upgrades for the titular weapon, the gunbrella. Using this weapon for both movements, defending, and attacking will give plenty of options for players to take advantage of as they work their way through the mystery to find their revenge. Floating, ziplining, blocking bullets, and taking down bad guys is easy when you’ve got your trusty Gunbrella on hand! With enticing momentum, a slick art-style, and exciting combat, this is one to watch for on the horizon
Puzzles, bosses, and so much more await when Gunbrella releases on Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam in 2023.
