Hasselblad Unveils The Six Masters Of Photography In 2023

In a spectacular showcase of photographic brilliance, Hasselblad has announced the six category winners of the prestigious Hasselblad Masters 2023 competition. This year's categories—Landscape, Architecture, Portrait, Art, Street, and Project//21—brought forth a dazzling array of talent from both seasoned professionals and rising stars, including photographers under the age of 21.

Securing the illustrious title of “Hasselblad Master,” each winner is rewarded with a cutting-edge 100-megapixel mirrorless medium format camera, along with two XCD Series lenses and an expanded creative fund of EUR 5,000. These elite photographers will also embark on an exciting collaborative project with Hasselblad, with their work featured in the coveted Hasselblad Masters book and across all Hasselblad digital platforms.

The biannual competition, which opened in December 2023, smashed records with a staggering 85,000 image submissions from photographers around the globe—an impressive 35% increase from the 2021 competition.
