We’re about a month away from the launch of HBO Max—the new streaming service from WarnerMedia. This new platform boasts a wide variety of content from all corners of WarnerMedia and beyond (including a few stragglers from Viacom’s vault):

Here are just some of the films and TV series that will be available on launch or in the launch window of HBO Max:

Films:

Aquaman, Batman films (Burton/Schumacher), The Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises), IT, Joker, The Lego Movie, The Lord of the Rings films, The Matrix, Shazam, Spirited Away, The original Superman films (plus Superman Returns), The Wizard of Oz, and Wonder Woman.

TV Series:

The Big Bang Theory, The Boondocks (a revival is expected to debut), Doctor Who, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Friends, Game of Thrones, Looney Tunes Cartoons (a new series), Rick and Morty, Sex and the City, Sesame Street, The Sopranos, and South Park.

Coming out a few months after the launch of Disney+, HBO Max looks like it has all it needs to compete with Disney’s own streaming service: children’s films, family-friendly TV shows, and movies, and edgier content for teens and young adults.
