Arrowhead Game Studios and PlayStation have just released a new gameplay trailer showing off some awesome co-op action for the third-person shooter Helldivers 2. This developer lead trailer breaks down some of the game’s new mechanics, weapons, and enemies that players can expect to encounter when the game launches later this year. Going from a top-down view to a full third-person shooter makes Helldivers 2 a much bigger title than its predecessor. Check out the co-op trailer above.
Since friendly fire is always on, squads will have to communicate and collaborate in order to complete objectives effectively. Strategy and tactics are key to surviving the hordes of alien enemies that players will encounter in Helldivers 2. Airstrikes, giant bombs, and grenades all need to be used with caution since an accidental teamkill could happen frequently with careless partners. This should show for some interesting play sessions.
