ICYMI: THE STANLEY PARABLE: ULTRA DELUXE Is Bringing The Beloved, Indie Game To Consoles

The Stanley Parable has held an iconic place in gaming for over a decade, and this month it’s finally coming to gaming consoles in a revamped package titled The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. This fresh version of the game will feature a plethora of new content, including new endings, dialogue, and scenarios.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is being developed by Crows Crows Crows, which is led by William Pugh, one of the original creators of The Stanley Parable. According to the game’s website, Ultra Deluxe is a complete recreation of the original game with new content seamlessly blended in so as to offer a fresh, surprising experience for both new and returning players.

The Stanley Parable originally began as a mod for Half-Life 2 back in 2011 before being recreated as a standalone title in 2013, exclusively for PC. The game follows the exploits of Stanley, a mild-mannered office worker who suddenly notices all of his colleagues have mysteriously vanished. Where the game goes next is up to the player, with multiple, branching pathways leading to a variety of endings. Along the way, a narrator will attempt to keep Stanley on a prescribed narrative path and will grow increasingly hostile if the player disobeys their directions.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe will launch on April 27th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
