In case you were wondering whether or not Activision is going to sell Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered separate from Infinite Warfare, the answer is still no. The info comes from COD fansite Charlie Intel which noted the following statement on the game's website...
Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game download (game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered).
It appears that if you want to play the Modern Warfare remaster, you will need the Infinite Warfare disc in your console. It's worth noting that this won't be necessary with the digital downloads, but once again, you'll have to buy both games to play them.
A lot of gamers have sworn they won't be purchasing the new Call of Duty and pleading Activision to release the classic MW for separate purchase, but I don't think that's happening. In addition to their base who will purchase the new game no matter what, there will be a fair amount who will still buy just to have Modern Warfare and they know that.
I know the spin as of the past year has been that Battlefield 1 will blow Infinite Warfare out of the water, but the more I see of both games the less sure I am that will be the case. Considering the Battlefield series is notorious for their awful launches, I already see COD having an advantage right out of the gate.
What are your thoughts on the two games? Will you be purchasing Infinite Warfare or are you hoping to get Modern Warfare separate?
