In a little over two weeks, Focus Entertainment and New World Interactive’s Insurgency: Sandstorm will be hitting consoles and delivering an immersive FPS like no other that consoles have seen. Most recently, a new trailer has been released which shows off exactly what the game has to offer players. Detailing its key gameplay components as well as the mechanics that go with them.
Sandstorm is a realistic take on combat and as such, offers players some truly immersive-looking concepts. The video breaks down the soldier classes, weapons, its free-aim gunplay, locations, and more. I think what intrigues me most about this trailer has to be a tie between the free-aim as it really isn’t something we’ve seen before and the locations as they seem to offer a lot of team-based strategies to navigate.
Pre-ordering Insurgency: Sandstorm’s base version, Deluxe Edition, or Gold Edition, will give players access to the Warlord Gear Set and Peacemaker Gear Set. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game plus its Year 1 Pass, while the Gold Edition features the additional Year 2 Pass, releasing throughout the year after launch. Each Year Pass includes 16 cosmetic sets, with an instant bonus of four rewards for the Year 2 Pass.
Insurgency: Sandstorm will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles with backwards compatibility for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at 4K resolution. In 2022, the game will receive further next-gen enhancements, with added support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console features.
