Joy Con Drift Resolution, Sort Of

Nintendo is addressing the Joy Con drift that many Switch owners have reported experiencing. If you haven't heard of Joy Con drift, it occurs when the controllers register movement even when the analog sticks aren't being moved or manipulated in any way. Something to look out for if you or someone you know owns a Nintendo Switch.

The company was not previously fixing these hardware issues for free when owners would contact customer service, but Nintendo is reportedly changing tack and offering repairs at no cost to the consumer. This is good news if you've got a Nintendo Switch. It seems to be a developing problem that is slightly tarnishing the otherwise rave reception of the innovative console. Hopefully, updated Joy Con controllers will accompany later versions of the Switch upon release to avoid this issue in the future.
