MARTHA IS DEAD Looks Real Creepy

Martha Is Dead says a lot without saying anything. The announcement teaser from developer LKA gives an eerie glimpse of the upcoming horror game. The thriller will be a “mix of history, superstition, and psychological distress.” The tone certainly carries through the brief scene portrayed in the trailer. The Town of Light, the first game by LKA, was another horror game that involved a psychiatric hospital, so this isn’t the developer’s first time creating a psychological thriller.

It will be interesting to see what terrors await as Martha Is Dead transports us back to Tuscany in 1944. That WWII setting will naturally create a tense backdrop to what will likely be a riveting exploration of grief and loss. LKA declares that they are “focused on 3d photorealistic graphics and a core of adult and mature narrative.” Historical horror seems to be LKA’s trademark, so fingers crossed that Martha Is Dead will convey a sense of mystery and dread when it comes out.
