Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Slated for 2024 According to PlayStation

KONAMI finally showed some in-engine footage of the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake back in October 2023 during the Xbox Partner Preview stream, and it seems we might be playing the title sooner than expected. PlayStation has shared a lineup of upcoming third and first-party titles coming to both PS4 and PS5 in 2024, and Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is featured in it.

Here is a screengrab from the sizzle reel.

PlayStation also put up an editorial that includes both Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, as well as Silent Hill 2 Remake for 2024.

According to the post, all titles featured in the reel are currently scheduled for 2024, but nothing is set in stone of course. There’s a disclaimer at the bottom which says the following:

All featured titles scheduled for release in 2024 at the time of publication. Release timings for unreleased titles may be subject to change and can vary by region. Please check with the relevant publisher for the most up-to-date information.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, and how far the rumors of its development date back, I think there’s a decent chance that Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will come out this year.
