My Hero Academia Joins FORTNITE

The popular anime My Hero Academia is now a part of Fortnite, further powering Epic Games’ digital multiverse with yet another Japanese property. Izuku Midoriya, All Might, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochaco Uraraka outfits are currently in the in-game item shop, either individually in or bundles that include additional cosmetics like pickaxes and gliders.

But that’s not all! This crossover also includes special quests with experience and unique cosmetics up for grabs. Players who complete these quests can earn two different sprays, an emoticon, and even a special back bling. There’s also a special new weapon in both the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes called Deku’s Smash, which empowers players with a devastating punch that destroys structures and demolishes opponents.

And if that wasn’t enough, Creative Mode is also getting in on the MHA goodness with the Hero Training Gym, a new Creative Mode experience that pits two teams against one another for some super-powered mayhem. Eliminate opponents and claim Rescue to earn points and lead your team to victory.

The My Hero Academia crossover follows in the footsteps of other major anime collaborations like Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. Each of these events has featured multiple cosmetic options, quests, and Creative experiences, and it doesn’t look like Fortnite has any plans of slowing down with these partnerships.

The My Hero Academia event runs until December 29th, 2022, so there’s still plenty of time left to mix it up with your favorite anime stars. Fortnite is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store, and mobile via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
