New Gear And Survivor Pass In Battle Royale PUBG's 16.2 Update

Krafton has revealed their newest plans for the genre-defining battle royale shooter, PUBG: Battlegrounds with its 16.2 update. Since its official release in 2017, the title that kickstarted hundreds of others in the battle royale formula has been through numerous changes, with arguably the largest being this January, with its switch to the Free-to-Play model.

The 16.2 update to PUBG Corporation’s eponymous title brings new gear, introducing the Tactical Pack which allows players to store almost all kinds of items, and the Spotter Scope, a set of binoculars that will allow users to better spot targets and mark them out to teammates. The update also brings the Map Service Plan, with a change of map rotations. Sanhok has been swapped out of Normal Match rotation, to be replaced by the mean streets of Haven.

In addition, the update brings the first Survivor Pass since the move to the Free-to-Play model in January of this year. The ‘Punk Wave’ Survivor Pass will bring a raft of rewards with player progress through its challenges, all with a distinct punk flavor.

The 16.2 update is now available to play for both PC and consoles on the PUBG: Battlegrounds test server.
