Famous French Indie developer DON’T NODD, creators of incredible visual and narrative games like Life is Strange announced their new game Harmony: The Fall of Reverie the other day at Nintendo Direct and it will be available on PC via Steam, Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
In Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, players will follow a futuristic narrative where players will explore the world of Reverie, where the Aspirations of Humanity live, and make choices that impact both Reverie and the real world.
Players take on the role of Polly, who returns home to the Mediterranean city of Alma to search for her missing mother. She soon discovers that her hometown has changed for the worse, with a mega corporation known as MK controlling the population. Polly soon realizes that she has a gift of clairvoyance that connects her to Reverie, where she becomes the goddess Harmony.
In Reverie, Harmony has the power to choose which Aspiration will rule, be it Glory, Bliss, Power, Chaos, Bond, or Truth. It is up to the players, as Harmony and Polly, to restore the delicate balance between Reverie and the real world.
The game features a unique narrative mechanic, where each decision made will affect both worlds and open up different narrative paths. Players can use the Augural, a game board and visual representation of Polly's gift of foresight, to explore the outcomes of possible choices and make informed decisions that will impact the fate of humanity. This mechanic also adds to the high replayability factor of the game.
Harmony: The Fall of Reverie will be available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in June 2023.
