The fully remade and improved cyberpunk horror title Observer: System Redux has officially been confirmed to be a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S launch title by the Bloober Team! This includes the observance of the two different launch dates, meaning it will be available to PC and Xbox Series users on November 10th and PlayStation 5 users on November 12th. It very well may be the first horror title you play on your next-gen console.
On top of this great news, they even plan to launch it at the selling price of only $29.99 USD and Euro to give some ease to the concern of next-gen game pricing increases. When it comes to sharing their thoughts as to their reasoning behind both their launch date and price tag, Bloober Team CEO, Piotr Babineo, stated the following:
“Making Observer: System Redux available for next-gen console players has been a huge focus for the team. Now that both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 release dates are out there, we can finally share our release date news. We know next-gen pricing is a major concern for our fans and we feel that releasing all the new content and upgrades in Observer: System Redux at the same cost as the original Observer is a great way to stay close with our community.”
For players that played the original title, >Observer_, don’t forget that they added and updated plenty more than just graphics to make this next-gen version worth a playthrough. They added three new major missions: Errant Signal, Her Fearful Symmetry, and It Runs in the Family. Plus there are updated character models and new locations. This new content is supported by the latest in next-gen features such as 4K resolution, upgraded textures, new animations, models, and effects, all transformed with ray-tracing and HDR lighting.
With the list of games that will be available on both next-gen platforms rather scarce and having the majority of their titles set for 2021, this is definitely some great news! If you are still skeptical, don’t forget to check out the next-gen graphics and gameplay trailers they shared last month. So, will you be venturing through this dark cyberpunk world in 4k this holiday?
