Pathfinder and Starfinder are popular open-source TTRPGs created by Paizo, and they have just announced they are partnering with Mirrorscape to bring their popular games to augmented reality. Players will be able to enjoy their favorite games in AR with terrains, minis, and dice from builders like Reaper, Hero Forge, and Dwarven Forge.
The upcoming Mirrorscape platform is going to release later this summer and has gotten TTRPG players pumped for an AR virtual tabletop experience. Their new partnership with Paizo will bring some of their more popular titles to the platform for some incredible quests and adventures to be explored in an AR setting.
Mirrorscape has been creating their platform for the past four years and much like Paizo, they believe in open-source products, so they have dedicated themselves to open, community-based experiences that support gamer creativity and homebrew campaigns.
Pathfinder and Starfinder are popular TTRPGs that are open source and available online for free. Mirrorscape will soon launch as an open beta on iOS and Android devices, with Paizo titles available shortly thereafter for players to explore in augmented reality. Mirrorscape is also being developed for compatibility with AR glasses and headsets, which will enable enhanced hand- and eye-tracking tracking for gamers.
