After 12 years of waiting, Western audiences finally got their first taste of Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox One with the closed and open betas. Full launch on Xbox One came last month and PC players all the while continued to wonder when it would be their turn. With today’s launch, PC players can finally hop into the official North American version of PSO 2! This release is currently exclusive to the windows store but it does offer crossplay with Xbox so friends on either platform can group up and complete quests.
To celebrate the launch there is a special wedding event currently happening along with a number of daily login bonuses! The virtual Stars event that features special crossover items and costumes with Hatsune Miku is also ongoing.
I just finished downloading the game from the Windows Store but do know that once the game launches you will need to download more game files. If you are planning your end of the day around PSO 2 make sure to launch it sometime sooner so you can get all the required updates finished beforehand! The game has been a total blast to play so far and I am excited that dedicated PC gamers will finally be able to get in on the action!
